<p>The Pogo iPhone stylus, like the stick that shares its name, just keeps bouncing back. And to stretch the metaphor, it’ll end up at the back of the basement after you’ve used it a couple of times. Now <em>Ten One Design</em>, the perpetrators of this superflous finger-replacement, is trying to shift the unsold boxes in <em>its</em> basement by billing it as “iPhone 3G compatible”. Here’s what <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="http://blog.wired.com/gadgets/2007/12/pogo-stylus-the.html">I wrote</a> back in December 2007:</p>
<blockquote><p>We thought that the whole point of the iPhone was the multi touch interface, backed up by some smart processing to guess what your fat fingers really meant to press. Ten One Design thinks otherwise, and is hawking an aluminum tube stuffed with foam for $25.</p>

<p>How times change. The wadded tube is now just $20, and comes in four colors. Those 10 months have also softened our skepticism to the point that we have the ability to concede this point, from commenter Galatia:</p>

<p>We rather think that a girl might wear one short fingernail as a symbol of geek chic, much as a guitarist cuts all nails <em>except</em> his thumbnail.</p>
