A tipster tells us that choose Google employees have started testing the Android phones. A New York Times report says that Deutsche Telekom’s T-Mobile division is preparing to introduce the phone later this year.

The phones will be made by HTC Corp, says the Times.

Google spokesperson Erin Fors confirms that the company is getting feedback from early users.

“To prepare for Android’s public launch, we’re testing the platform on a variety of devices,” states Google spokesperson Erin Fors. “This process ensures we’ve an chance to receive feedback from users.”

As for the phone itself, it integrates Google services into it and is closer to a BlackBerry in the way the phone operates, rather than Apple’s iPhone, says our tipster.

That’s mysterious. Anyone have more details on the phone? Send us a tip!
